Estimate requests
Your inbox for "somebody wants a price" — everything that arrived through a public estimate-request form or a customer's own "Request a quote" button in their portal, waiting to be turned into an estimate.
When you would use this: to work through incoming quote requests instead of chasing them out of an inbox.
Statuses: New, on arrival; Pricing, once someone has picked it up; Estimated, once it has become a real estimate; or Declined.
What you see: who asked, what they asked for — shown exactly as the form asked it on the day they submitted, even if the form has changed since — where it came from, and who it is assigned to.
Pricing a request: choose an assignee, then "Create estimate" once a customer is attached to the request. A request that arrived with only a lead (nobody has said yes to becoming a customer yet) asks you to convert that lead first — an estimate is quoted to a customer, not to an enquiry. Once priced, the request links straight to the estimate it produced.
Deleting a request: removes the request itself; a lead or estimate it already produced is not touched by deleting it.
A narrower view: none — this inbox is read and worked the same way by everyone who holds the permission.
When it refuses: "Convert the lead first" is not a fault, it is the order the product insists on — you cannot price work for someone who is not yet a customer.
