Portal registrations
A queue of people who signed themselves up for a portal login on your own site, waiting for your firm to say yes.
When you would use this: only if your firm has switched on self-service registration and set it to require approval — most firms invite contacts directly instead, and this screen stays empty for them.
What you see: each pending request's company name, contact name and email, and — where your firm registers everyone against one matched company by their email domain — the existing customer it looks like it belongs to, so you are not guessing.
Approving: creates the contact (and, unless it matched an existing one, a new customer) and sends them their portal login, in one step. If the company it looked like it would join has since changed, this is checked again at the moment you approve, not just when the request arrived.
Rejecting: declines the request; nothing is created, and the person is not told why.
What happens next: an approved registration behaves exactly like a contact your firm invited directly — accessible from Contacts, with the same portal-access controls.
When it refuses: approving needs the same permission that lets you create a customer; if you can see this queue but not act on it, ask an Owner or Admin to approve on your behalf, or to grant you the capability.
