Files
Everything anyone has uploaded, wherever they uploaded it from, in one list — a project, a task, a ticket or a customer record.
When you would use this: finding a file again when you know it exists somewhere but not which record you attached it to.
Where a file actually comes from: uploading happens on the record itself — a project's own Files tab, a task, a ticket — where it is uploaded against that record and, if the person uploading chooses, made visible to the customer in their portal. This screen is where every one of those uploads can be found again afterwards, whichever record it started on.
What each column means: what the file is attached to, which customer it belongs to (where it has one), its size, whether the customer can see it, and when it was uploaded.
Client visibility: a file starts internal-only unless whoever uploaded it marked it visible to the customer — the same switch a project's own Files tab uses, so changing it in one place changes it everywhere the file is shown.
When it refuses: a file you cannot see here is a file attached to a record you cannot read — go to the record itself, if you have access to it, rather than expecting it to appear in this list.
