Sales report
What was invoiced and what was actually collected, over a range you choose.
When you would use this: to see revenue, what has actually been paid, and where it came from — by invoice, by payment, by customer, by item or by tax rate — rather than reading it off the invoice list one row at a time.
Choosing a range: a preset (this month, last month, this year, and the rest) or your own from/to dates; every figure on the screen is for that range and that range only.
The sections, down the side: Summary (headline totals and the three charts below), Invoices, Payments, Credit notes, By customer and By item — each its own table, its own totals row, and its own CSV export carrying exactly the filters you have set, never the unfiltered whole.
The charts, on Summary: income by month and payments by mode by month run over a calendar year you pick independently of the report's own range (so you can compare this month's headline figures against a different year's shape); total value by customer group uses the report's own range. Payments by mode is drawn grouped, not stacked, because a reversed payment can land in a later month than the payment it reverses and a stacked bar cannot draw a negative segment — here it is allowed to dip below zero, which is the true picture.
Invoiced is dated by the invoice, collected by the payment: an invoice raised in one period and paid in the next appears in one and not the other — this is deliberate, not a mismatch to chase.
Every currency shown separately: a customer base billed in more than one currency gets a card, a chart and a total for each — never one number pretending to be all of them added together.
A narrower view: without this permission the report does not open at all — there is no version of it scoped to only your own sales.
When it refuses: "The sales report is not available to your role" means you can see operational figures but not financial ones — ask an Owner or Admin. "Set both a From and a To date" on a custom range means exactly that.
