Address and domain

Where your clients reach your portal: the address every plan gets, and your own domain if your plan includes one.

When you would use this: checking or sharing the web address your customers sign in at, or connecting your own domain in place of the shared one.

The address every plan gets: a subdomain of ours, already working for every plan with no setup — this is what your customers use unless you connect your own domain.

Connecting your own domain: available if your plan includes branding. Enter the domain you want to use; the screen then shows a DNS record (a TXT record to prove you own it, then a CNAME to point the domain at Veilux) to add at wherever you manage that domain's DNS. The screen shows whether it has been verified yet and whether it is Live — serving real traffic — once your DNS provider's change has taken effect, which is not always instant.

Removing or replacing a domain: releases it immediately; your customers fall back to the shared subdomain until (or unless) you connect a new one.

Same screen as Branding: this is the same domain, the same controls, as the domain section on Setup → Branding — use whichever you have open; there is no difference between them.

When it refuses: "Address and domain is not available to your role" means you lack the permission to update your firm's own details — ask an Owner or Admin. No option to add your own domain here means your plan does not include branding — see Plan and add-ons.
