Email settings

A shortcut straight into the Email group of Settings — sender name and address, your SMTP connection, and the header and footer every outgoing message carries.

When you would use this: your firm's mail is not sending, or you want it to come from your own address instead of the product's shared one.

What it is: this nav item and the Email group on the main Settings screen are the same place, reached a step faster from the Communication section of Setup — see "Settings" for what each field means.

A narrower view: viewing it needs only the ability to read settings; saving a change needs the further capability to write them.

When it refuses: fields showing but not saving means you can see the configuration but not change it — ask an Owner or Admin.
